Conscious Bridge is a labor of love for Mark Gilbert.
Mark is a writer and teacher who lives in Lakewood, Colorado with his wife, Mary, and his chocolate lab, Harmony. He holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and a Masters in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute in Colorado.
For over 33 years, Mark worked in progressively more responsible positions with the Federal government. For the last 20 years of his Federal career, he worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, serving in various leadership positions. He was instrumental in leading a number of initiatives that improved Medicare customer service including overseeing their tollfree customer service line and working to implement the Medicare Part D program. When Mark retired in 2009, he was the Regional Administrator for CMS’s Denver Regional Office, overseeing the Medicare outreach and education activities of 10 mid-western and western states. He is a Senior Fellow with the Council on Excellence in Government and was a member of the Federal Senior Executive Service.
In addition to his teachings here and in related classes and workshops, Mark also serves the international headquarters for the United Centers for Spiritual Living (UCSL) as the manager of GEMS (Growth, Expansion and Ministerial Support). In that capacity, he assists currently affiliated churches, spiritual centers, teaching chapters and study groups in bringing the teachings of the Science of Mind and Spirit around the world. UCSL is an international organization headquartered in Golden, Colorado. The organization was originally founded by Ernest Holmes. UCSL is a true transdenominational faith that teaches Oneness and self-empowerment. Mark is also a licensed and ordained minister with UCSL.

Help to Heal the Earth Through meditation
Hello my name is John Davis, and I am on a mission. My mission is to unite as many meditation practitioners as possible in a focused meditation to heal the Earth. I am asking for your help. There is a condition known as the Maharishi Effect- when people are of a like mind and meditate in a major city, the crime rate drops, prosperity rises, and an overall state of well-being prevails. Each of these conditions is a product of the human consciousness and each can be altered with focused intent during meditation. As a meditation practitioner, you probably already know this.
We humans affect our world in a number of negative ways: deforestation, raw materials mining, nuclear waste, landfills, and even a Texas-sized island of trash in the Pacific Ocean that has sterilized the water beneath it. I have created a new CD called “Healing Earth” that is a meditation designed to impart a global Maharishi Effect. The meditation was a channeled writing. It is being offered for only $5.00 to cover manufacturing and marketing costs. It can be found on my website http://www.johnofpeniel.com. My hope is that we can have this meditation spread around the globe to be used during a weekly meditation with the health of the earth as our focus.
