Today, a question for you…post your comments on social media or in the comments box below.

One of the interesting and positive aspects of our recent election, especially for those of you disappointed in the results, was the number of people who stepped up to become politically involved who were not previously.  Liberals and progressives especially are marching and getting involved in record numbers to express their feelings and political desires.  Seems like everywhere I go, the topic eventually turns to politics….but not just to whine about what is going on, but to discuss how to take positive action.

There are, of course, barriers to getting involved…..not enough time, too many issues to focus upon, not sure what to do, and more.  There have been a number of articles offering advice on how to get more active as well as some resources.  Here are a few:

Progressive Organizations that Need Your Support

How to Channel Your Post Election [emotions] into Action

A Call for Local Action by The Nation Website

Daily Action Alerts (Mobile Alerts on potential actions)

Oh crap! What Now? Survival Guide (good compendium of resources with links)

I am sure there are more resources out there that can be useful…..feel free to suggest others in comments.

But here is my question for you:  since the election, what have you done to get more involved in the political system?  I really am curious what people are doing. Take a moment and leave a comment.  Thanks!

Mark Gilbert
