About Mark Gilbert
Mark Gilbert is a former US Government Executive with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and member of the Senior Executive Service who later in life became a New Thought minister.
After a lifelong obsession with questions such as “why do we exist?”, “why is there consciousness?” and “what is the meaning of life?”, Mark found great truths in New Thought teachings. He received a Masters in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute in 2007 and began serving as a minister at the New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living in Aurora, Colorado, that year. He was ordained in 2010, the same year that he left New Dawn to begin serving the Centers for Spiritual Living’s Home Office for the next 10 years, retiring from CSL in 2020.
During this tenure, Mark served as manager for Licensing for the organization for over four years during which he was instrumental in putting in place many of the new policies and committees that came from the merger of United Centers for Spiritual Living and International Centers for Spiritual Living. During this time, Mark was one of the co-creators of the highly popular Spiritual Living Circles program.
For over five years, Mark served as the first Global Services Coordinator for CSL working to grow and support Science of Mind communities around the world. He also led the work to bring more of Ernest Holmes’ books into languages other than English, playing a key role in the translation and publishing of 5 new Spanish books, 4 Russian books and 1 Hindi book. Mark also led the effort (completed after his retirement) to have a complete retranslation of the Science of Mind textbook in Spanish, updating the prior book.
Mark trained with Don Beck, one of the co-writers of the book Spiral Dynamics, and became a certified instructor of Spiral Dynamics. Mark has also trained with philosopher Ken Wilber in Integral Theory. Both topics are used in the articles and videos available through Conscious Bridge (along with New Thought).
Mark has written many articles starting in 2007 for the Science of Mind magazine and has also published 4 books (see book page for details).
Mark began publishing the Conscious Bridge website in January 2010 and his YouTube Channel has been actively producing videos since December 2018.
In January 2022, Mark began serving the board of the Science of Mind Archives and Library Foundation where he is now in his second term and serves as its Vice President. He currently volunteers his time for the Archives as a key researcher and maintains their website and YouTube Channel. He has created an inventory of the works of Ernest Holmes (available through the Archives website) which he maintains to record not only what the Archives has available, but which they have posted online. Mark joyfully edits and posts audios and documents by Ernest Holmes, Raymond Charles Barker and other New Thought teachers on the Archives website.
In 2023, Mark compiled the new Ernest Holmes book, Ernest Holmes at Asilomar (see book page for details).
In 2024, Mark received a doctorate from the Centers for Spiritual Living for his contibutions to the dissemination of the teachings of Science of Mind in the world.
